All-in-One Wireless Home Haptic Solution
Update to previous post!
The setup of the buttkicker of the wireless couch kit is super simple, the directions are simple to follow and quite detailed. I'm not using the wireless option for my setup due to limitations on the placement of the amplifier.
I was concerned that a single transducer may not be "enough" for my heavy reclining 3-person sofa, I was wrong! I have to turn the intensity setting way down to avoid dental damage, LOL.
Integration with my HT setup was pretty straightforward. I have a Denon AVRX3800H receiver with a dedicated transducer output with variable low-pass and volume control. However, connecting it to a different setup wouldn't be difficult as the "kit" comes with all the necessary cabling. I have an SVS SB4000 subwoofer that can create a LOT of SPL under 20hz, but using the buttkicker intensifies the tactile feel without having to annoy neighbors.
Lastly, the advanced transducer is surprisingly small, the WAF is high as she didn't immediately point at it and give me an evil eye.
