Decided to buy the butt kicker gamer plus system after doing some research and wanting a more immersive feel while playing Gran Turismo 7 on the PlayStation. I have a Playseat challenge, and I needed to do some modifications to get the most out of the system.
I needed to s create a bar after looking online and seeing nothing for this application. I wanted the butt kicker to send vibrations evenly through the chair frame so I built a center cross bar that ties the two side together. (See Photo) I made this out of pipe and connectors used in the electrical industry.
Next, I need to hook the receiver up so it would work with the sound from the PlayStation without using headphones. I bought a HDMI extractor but made sure it would work with how my system is setup. I use ARC from the TV to my Denon amp to get sound so the extractor needed that two. Also needed some other features to work. 4K at 60hz, 18gig speed or greater, ARC, and finally dual RCA out instead of the 3.5 port. Next I needed the cable to make this all work. I used two Monster Cable M-series HDMI cables and a Monster Cable 200i RCA cable. Hooked it all up, turned on the ARC on the extractor, and then fired everything else up like normal.
Wow!!!! Lots of vibrations. Very cool but to many and I needed to play with the settings of both the ButtKicker amp and the in game sounds of GT7.
Once I got all that set the way I feel make you feel most in the game IT WAS ON! Such a fun way to play and all the friends and…
