The ButtKicker Gamer2 adds instant immersion to any game. Unlike a subwoofer that moves air (and loses accuracy and force) ButtKicker products move actual mass producing a haptic immersion that's powerful and accurate.
For Sim Rigs we suggest adding the RI-4 isolator feet to "float" your rig and make it easier to shake.
The ButtKicker Gamer2 adds instant immersion to any game. Unlike a subwoofer that moves air (and loses accuracy and force) ButtKicker products move actual mass producing a haptic immersion that's powerful and accurate.

Feel the low end without making the room loud. Turn down or turn off your subwoofer and still feel all the bass you want. Experience powerful bass even while using headphones or a gaming headset. The ButtKicker Gamer easily attaches to standard center post chairs.

Haptic (felt) feedback is a must have for shooters. The ButtKicker Gamer2 lets you feel incoming fire, pinpoint other players even while your squadmates are talking. It's a game changing tactical advantage. For sim racers the Gamer2 adds the missing driver to car connection, bringing more realism and immersion to your sessions.

Connection is simple to any PC or gaming console and because the Gamer2 is audio (bass) driven it works natively with all content. The Gamer2 Easy-Clamp mount allows mounting to any post up to 1.4" in diameter, including square posts often found on sim racing cockpits and rigs. And, many sim racing rig manufacturers offer custom mounting brackets for the Gamer2. No matter if you use Obutto, Playseat, rSeat, or another brand the Gamer2 is a must have addition.

    Fantastic add-on to flight simulator

Posted by Alex on Sep 22nd 2021

The additional flight simulator experience is fantastic !
I was a little skeptical and the buttkicker made the flight simulator experience much more realistic. I cannot review the longevity of the product but it seems well built and only time will tell on that.
Definitely worth the purchase and highly recommend

    It Really Does Kick Butt!

Posted by Andy F on Sep 1st 2021

I saw a guy on YouTube using the ButtKicker Gamer2 with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and he was so giddy about it I immediately ordered one.

The device itself is awesome. It was definitely not very plug-and-play for me, though. I suppose your mileage may vary. BUT, once you DO get it up and running... Holy. Crap. Batman. It's freaking awesome to feel the runway and turbulence under your seat, especially while you're in the VR headset! I HIGHLY recommend this for VR users who want to push their immersion to 11.

Connecting it up to the computer was straightforward. However, the connector for the ButtKicker transducer itself to the ButtKicker amplifier was not as clear as advertised in the manual: It's a two-pronged connector that's supposed to fit only one way, but it was very difficult to tell from the female connector end on mine which way the prongs were supposed to fit, as the holes were not dissimilar enough in diameter to know for sure. I feel like this connector should either have holes that are much more different in diameter or in shape, or the connector should be something different entirely that makes it easier to distinguish polarity or impossible to get wrong. I felt like it was possible to connect them the wrong way.

I would have given it 5 stars, but set up was kind of painful. The hookup of the physical device is easy-peasy, at least on my system. But getting the audio stuff setup or finding/configuring drivers for MSFS2020 was another story. There is scant detailed documentation for this particular pairing (BK2 + FS2020), other than some YouTube videos that don't really walk you through the actual software configuration, other than listing what they use. I guess that's an opportunity for me to provide better instructions, rather than just complaining about it. ;) It would be nice if the ButtKicker people would invest in drivers or more detailed instructions and explanations for setting this up with bigger software titles, like MSFS2020. In my opinion, the price is right, but the support for software (or using with certain titles, anyway) is meh. I guess these work great out-of-the-box for some of the racing titles out there, but I don't do racing games.

There is a ~$25 piece of software written by a guy in Russia (and sold via a website in Russia, which makes me uneasy, especially when using Microsoft Windows) that didn't work for me. It's flaky as heck. It is supposed to use SimConnect (which my flight track app uses just fine). Almost nothing in the software shows appropriate settings for MSFS2020. The documentation for the app is also not very helpful in troubleshooting. When you click on a number of the buttons or debug features, the software throws up error dialogs left and right. So, I went back to trying to figure out how to set up VoiceMeeter for it. That's what ultimately started shaking my chair. Online, people are recommending a separate sound card to drive the ButtKicker, but my motherboard allows my to output different things to different sound ports, which seems to accomplish the same outcome.

    Great for sim racing

Posted by Charlie Huddleston on Aug 10th 2021

Absolutely lives up to the hype, once you get it set up right. It is definitely not plug and play for sim racing, though it's not bad to set up, just takes some effort.

It wasn't clear from the product description that you need to buy the separate mounting kit if you aren't attaching this to an office chair. And the mounting kit doesn't come with an M6 nut which is really very silly, they should include an M6 nut with the mounting kit.

Also, you need separate software to get the most of it for sim racing. There are SimHub and SimVibe, or iRacing has its own LFE function, though I like SimHub better, haven't tried SimVibe. For SimHub you need to get the license for it otherwise there is a noticeable delay in the effects. Then you need to spend about an hour messing with the effects and tuning them to your liking.

Once it's all installed and set up right it is incredibly immersive for sim racing in VR. Well worth the time and effort.

    Fun Product

Fun results in racing sims. I really struggled with setup. The audio cables should be tagged and better documentation would make this an easier rig to set up.

    More than expected.

Posted by Casey Shields on May 5th 2021

Way more powerful than I expected. Took a couple days to dial it in (different media types and games n such), but once you’re done with the initial shock of it, it won’t take long. Probably gonna be best on a cement floor cause this thing can turn a whole hardwood floor into a 5hz capable sub if you aren’t careful. Just put zip tie on loose chair adjustment handles, dial it in, and massage to your heart’s content with some explosion, dinosaur feet or Bass 305.
