Versions

HaptiConnect is offered in three versions:

- HaptiConnect Base is free and provides an easy to use audio router allowing game audio to be sent to a ButtKicker unit and another audio device (headphones, speakers, etc). HaptiConnect Base makes using a ButtKicker device and USB headphones simple and easy with any game. The audio router works well with iRacing and simplifies ButtKicker setup. No game plugins are included with Base.

- HaptiConnect Standard Track Pak includes the features of Base as well as plugins for racing titles. Standard has a suggested retail price of $29.99 and additional plugins will cost between $2.99 and $9.99 each.

- HaptiConnect Standard Flight Pak includes the features of Base as well as plugins for flight sim titles. Standard has a suggested retail price of $29.99 and additional plugins will cost between $2.99 and $9.99 each.

- HaptiConnect Ultimate includes all the features of Base and Standard as well as no charge for future plugins - unlimited lifetime releases*.

All three versions of HaptiConnect are iRacing® approved and an essential part of any sim racing setup.

ButtKicker HaptiConnect Software

I'm very impressed with the ButtKicker HaptiConnect software. The user interface is very straight forward and it only took a couple of minutes to have it up and running. I did end up making a custom bracket to mount it to my simrig because of some space restrictions in my custom seat mount that made the mounting kit from ButtKicker not work for me.

I use the ButtKicker more for flight simulation than for racing, and it does take some time and effort to get it dialed in for each individual aircraft within DCS if you don't want a more generic feeling across the board. But the results are worth it. I'm using it to drive a single transducer (ButtKicker Gamer Pro) that I attached to the bottom of my chair in the sim and you really can feel the difference. I can't imagine how it would feel with the four-corners kit!

There are a few individual aircraft in DCS that have fewer functional settings in the HaptiConnect software, but that seems to be more of an issue with how each aircraft has it's own coding. Hopefully as both DCS and the HaptiConnect software continue to improve, those will become available in the future.

All in all, I'm happy with the solution and felt it was money well spent!

Could be improved

The software is very easy to use and straight forward. However the cost is high and for that I think there should be more information on the amp settings. I have no idea how to to set the amp up, volume is obvious but the rest I cannot find any information. A recommended settings for various mounting would be very helpful. I do use the software as it is easy to use even though there are alternatives.

It's good, but not without it's kinks

The software appears simple and once you figure out what you need to do with your system it works pretty good. Took several different configurations to get it working all together properly. Still tweaking the game settings as on some games it's really good and on others it's a bit more peaky. Overall works well and recognizes everything quickly, but instructions for configuring, I thought could be a bit better for noobs like me.
